Shaping Your Project

Initial consultation to discuss your budget, scope and the practicalities of your project. Understanding your aims!
TIP! Think about your key driver for the project - increasing value, improving usability or building your dream home.

Discussing ideas and producing early stage design options; this will take into account project constraints and opportunities.
TIP! At this stage it helps to off-load all your questions regarding the project which can ease your mind moving forward.

Darcy Architects will guide you through the Planning requirements and process as we have many years of successfully gaining planning permission for our clients
TIP! Research historical planning applications for your neighbourhood

Most projects fall under two types of building regulation approval; site notice through the building contractor or submission of technical drawings. Check if party wall agreements are needed.
TIP! There is an opportunity to go for private approval for building regulations - who provide consultant service.

At this stage you should have a min of three building contractors prices from either the planning drawings or the more detailed plans and specifications. Optional additional architectural services such as 'working drawings' can be provided for the construction stage.
